This silky artisan dark chocolate proves the motto that everything is better with butter. Heritage Swiss cows contribute their grass-fed cream to be churned, browned and stirred into the malty depths of Alter Eco’s Ecuadorian cacao. Their chocolatiers complete the taste spectrum with a touch of Fleur de Sel de Guérande for a salty sweet, luxuriously smooth bite. Alter Eco work directly with the small-scale farmers who grow their sugar and cacao, helping them institute Fair Trade and Organic practices and assisting them in improving both quality of food and quality of life. They also work with their co-op partners to preserve heirloom grains, replenish and reforest the land and as a GHG Protocol 3 Carbon Zero business, offset more carbon than they emit.
